PARKING
Parking will begin on Friday, September 11th for all Non-NGQMA members at 9:00 AM.
If you are an NGQMA member you may park in your reserved spot on Thursday, September 11th at 12pm.
President and Sponsor Parking will begin at 4pm.
Please do not park without direction of an NGQMA Board member or the facility director.
CONTROLLED PRACTICE
Controlled practice will roll promptly at 6pm on Friday, September 11th. Cars will line up based on race order for the event. You can find that order below or on the track graphic shared on WhatsApp.
We will roll 3 cars at a time for a 2 minute practice session.
First yellow, timer will stop. After we go green, it will not stop for any additional yellow flags in the session.
If your car draws a yellow flag more than once, your driver will be asked to leave the track.
We will run quickly through controlled practice and will not have time to wait for a driver to get buckled in. Please make sure your driver and car are ready to roll or they will miss their practice session.
HEAT RACE QUALIFYING
This event will use electronic pill draw, heat races, and passing points to set the lower mains and feature lineups.
An electronic pill draw will randomly assign each driver’s starting position for the heat race.
Heat race finishing positions and positions gained or lost will be used to calculate passing points. Please reference our RULES page to understand the passing points system.
Passing points will determine the starting lineup for all lower mains and feature races.
RACE DAY COMMUNICATIONS
All race day communications will happen on our official Cotton Classic WhatsApp group. Please join the group by following this link to the Cotton Classic 2026!
***BIKES, SCOOTERS, E-BIKES & E-SCOOTERS, SKATEBOARDS are all prohibited at all times at the Cumming Fairgrounds.
