Received the following email from Brenda on February 11th:
We have great news – in fact we are celebrating a miracle.
Robert has had both and MRI and a Pet Scan in the last three weeks and he is totally cancer free as of now. His neurosurgeon could not believe they were gone, as he says God is still in the miracle business.
Thanks to all for their continued prayers. Robert still tires easily and has some memory problems but we can live with that.
He hopes to come home for the month of March and let Spencer race and spend some time with the kids. Spencer has moved back to Rome with his Mom.
Please give our best to everyone and hopefully Robert will see you in March.

Received the following email from John on December 27th:
The package arrived today. Spencer has not yet seen it but will soon. We are overwhelmed with the generosity. Please thank everyone for us … you’ve made things very special for our little guy.
Our prayers are working … Robert is up and about today and actually has eaten a few bites, so hopefully will have a couple of good weeks before the next treatment.
Again thank you for spearheading the gifts and all of your generosity.

I received the following email from Brenda on December 16th:
Good morning,
Just a note with an update on Robert; he has had a pretty good week and was able to enjoy the get together with our family last night. I cherish every day when he can smile and laugh.
The radiation did wonders and hopefully the chemo is doing even more to shrink the tumors. He has another chemo treatment on the 19th and unfortunately within two days he is usually horribly ill for 7-10 days.
We ask your continued prayer as he goes through his last two treatments. I am praying this next one won’t affect him as badly so he will be able to enjoy Christmas with the children. We are working on figuring out how to get Ashlyn to Florida in time for Christmas Day. Please pray this works out also.
With the help of family and racing friends Spencer will get to race on the 28th & 29th.
Wishing each of you and your family a wonderful, safe, and happy holiday.

I received the following email from Brenda on November 15th:
Diane,
I’m sorry we are so long in sending an update on Robert. All things considered he is doing very well. The radiation was successful in shrinking the tumors. The large ones are about half the original size.
He doesn’t have much energy which is very difficult for him as he is not at all use to that. He started chemo last week. It has been really rough, although from what we understand everything he is experiencing is normal. He has a treatment every 3 weeks and hopefully will be done by mid to late January.
Spencer is still here in Florida with us and doing well. Robert was able to take him to the quarter midget track here and let him race once. That was good for both of them.
We really appreciate everyone keeping him in their prayers. This is a road that is very rough and bumpy both physically and emotionally and it is friends and family that keeps him going.
Give our best to everyone and hopefully Robert will be back after the first of the year.

I received the following email from Brenda Kraft (Robert's Mom) on September 19th:
Diane,
Robert and Spencer really enjoyed getting to the track this weekend and seeing all their friends. Many people asked us to keep them up to date on Robert and his progress. I’ll try and keep you updated weekly on Robert’s progress and would appreciate your sharing best you can through the web page.
As you probably know, Robert has inoperable brain cancer. He has 3 tumors and 2 other small spots on the brain. He was diagnosed in July and we have been to many doctors and hospitals trying to get all the options. It has been a rough road as he lost his job when he was in the hospital and has no insurance. But God always provides a way and we are trusting in him to see us through this.
They have finished radiation and we will be going to Emory in Atlanta on the 25th to see the neurosurgeon and have another MRI to check the progress and then see where we go from there.
His son, Spencer is living here with us in Florida. He was having a very hard time at home without Robert. He worried and not being able to see him was really tough. He is enrolled in school and settling in. Although he really misses being in Georgia, his sister and his friends at the track he is happy to be here with his Dad.
Here is a copy of a flyer of the golf tournament/fundraiser that has been planned for Robert her in Florida.
You can contact us at anytime either at this email address or my cell phone (386) 852-3895.
Most importantly please let everyone know how much Robert appreciates the calls and prayers. Without the support of family and friends it would be very difficult for him to keep up the positive attitude and keep fighting this ugly disease.
