OFFICIAL SPEC TIRE RULING FROM
THE QMA NATIONAL BOARD OF DIRECTORS
The National Board held a conference call last night (Thursday 9/19) to discuss the proposal / recommendation from the tire committee. First, we would like to thank Scott Benning and the entire committee for all of their hard work and dedication on this. They did all that was asked and required of them and we are very grateful to them for their work.
After much discussion and debate:
The NBOD voted to table the implementation of the Spec Tire so that it may be brought forth to the members via the RCP process. This was a 4 to 1 vote.
Regards,
Dawn Tanner, QMA National Secretary
on behalf of the QMA National Board

Handlers
Please remember to start charging your transponder the Thursday night prior to a race.
We are having intermittent issues with transponder's signals not being picked up during the races.
Thank You!

Judging Video: QMA has posted the official judging video. It is recommended for all club members. Recommended only for DSL and Cable internet users. Click here.
Be advised of the following mistakes and clarifications.
- Loss of Goggles (should be removed from DVD - no goggles).
- Loss of Water (should be removed - not allowed to use water cooled engines).
- Charging exiting the turn (Should be labeled Rough Driving - NOT charging when exiting a turn).
- Changing of your line between the flags (green to yellow or green to checkered) you cannot change more than once (This is for clarification - it is correct on the video, make sure your judges are aware, it is not twice a race.).
- Immediate DQ for 4 tires below speed breakers (Note: the video only shows the car with 2 tires below - it is supposed to be 4 tires).
- Video says you are not allowed to signal drivers. (It should say no signaling to driver under green - you may signal to your driver under yellow).
- Video states liberating of fluid and loss of safety items under yellow is a DQ (That is incorrect -- liberating of fluid or loss of safety items under GREEN is DQ, under yellow is not a DQ).
