Please review the QMA National Tire Rule Enforcement Procedures.

2008 Rule Book Clarifications

Page 6, Article 2, Section 1, 2.B(2) currently states and is correct: Only one position per family, Regional Director/National Board of Director. ** in the short sheet and minutes it states "Regional Director Board/National Board of Director. The word BOARD following Regional Director should not be there.**

Page 23, Article 4, Section 4, #5 and Page 35, Section 2, 1.X - per the 2007 National Short Sheet, these should AND will read as follows: Tire Treatment - It is prohibited to apply tire treatment or chemicals (except cleaning with water). First offense: 30 days Family Suspension, 2nd Offense: 1 year Family Suspension and 3rd Offense is lifetime family suspension. **the part "on the grounds of the race facility" were removed during the 2007 National meeting.

Judging Video: QMA has posted the official judging video. It is recommended for all club members. Recommended only for DSL and Cable internet users. Click Here.

Be advised of the following mistakes and clarifications.
  • Loss of Goggles (should be removed from DVD - no goggles).
  • Loss of Water (should be removed - not allowed to use water cooled engines).
  • Charging exiting the turn (Should be labeled Rough Driving - NOT charging when exiting a turn).
  • Changing of your line between the flags (green to yellow or green to checkered) you cannot change more than once (This is for clarification - it is correct on the video, make sure your judges are aware, it is not twice a race.).
  • Immediate DQ for 4 tires below speed breakers (Note: the video only shows the car with 2 tires below - it is supposed to be 4 tires).
  • Video says you are not allowed to signal drivers. (It should say no signaling to driver under green - you may signal to your driver under yellow).
  • Video states liberating of fluid and loss of safety items under yellow is a DQ (That is incorrect -- liberating of fluid or loss of safety items under GREEN is DQ, under yellow is not a DQ).
